Hinge is built so that liking requires choosing something to comment on. A profile of good photos and three bland prompts is genuinely hard to like - there is no handle.
Rewrite any prompt whose answer is a category rather than a story. 'Travel' is a category. 'I once got on the wrong connecting flight and spent a day in a city I had never heard of' is a handle, and half the people who read it will ask which city.
Many women get plenty of likes and none from anyone they want, which feels identical to getting none. That is a targeting problem, and it responds to being more specific rather than more appealing.
State the thing that filters. What you actually want, the thing you care about more than is reasonable, the deal-breaker in one line. Broad profiles collect broad interest; that is the mechanism working, not failing.
Check whether you have set filters strict enough that your own profile reaches almost nobody - height, distance, education and age together can shrink a pool to double digits, and Hinge shows you to people you would see too.
Check whether you are on Standouts only, or ignoring the daily likes you do receive. Hinge measurably down-weights profiles that never engage.
A quiet week is not evidence about you. The pool turns over, the algorithm re-tests, and the number moves for reasons that have nothing to do with the person in the photos.
Do not delete and rebuild the profile to get the new-account burst. It works once, briefly, and most apps recognise the rebuild and withhold it.
