In order of cost: a lead photo with other people in it, no clear face, a bio made of cliches, only close-up selfies, and a list of what you do not want. The first one alone accounts for more lost matches than everything below it combined.
Almost all of these are fixable in one evening, and none of them require you to look different.

It is the whole decision. On most apps the opening card is one photo and a name, so if it fails, nothing else you wrote is ever seen.
It must be you alone, face clearly visible, taken from a normal distance in decent light. No sunglasses, no hat pulled low, no group, no car, no mirror, no photo of you from forty metres away on a mountain.
'Fluent in sarcasm.' 'Partner in crime.' 'Work hard, play hard.' 'I love to laugh.' Each appears on a large share of profiles, so each one makes you harder to tell apart, which is the opposite of the job.
Replace them with a detail that could only be yours. Specific beats impressive every time - the aim is to be memorable, not to win.
'No hookups.' 'Don't message me if...' 'Swipe left if you...' Every one of these tells a stranger about your worst previous experiences before telling them anything good about you.
State what you want instead. It filters just as well and costs you nothing.
Four to six photos, each doing a different job: the clear lead, a full-length, one showing an actual activity, one with other people. Six near-identical selfies read as one photo repeated.
One photo of you doing something you actually do is worth more than three that are technically better and interchangeable.
